Dr. Virandera Pal Bhalla is a Sr. Consultant & Director of the Institute of Digestive & Liver Diseases at BLK Super Specialty Hospital. He has a vast experience of more than 40 years. Dr. Bhalla specialises in a wide range of diseases and some of them are G.I. Surgery, Cancer Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Blalock–Thomas–Taussig Shunt, Cancer Surgery, Pancreatic surgery etc. In his extended experiences, the doctor has served for top notch medical facilities in India and gained specialized exposure.

Dr. Virandera Pal Bhalla completed his MBBS from the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune during the passing batch of 1975. He later went on to pursue MS in General Surgery from the same institution in 1983. He has also done Post Doctoral GI Surgery & Liver Transplantation fellowship from AIIMS, New Delhi in 1992.

Dr. Virandera Pal Bhalla is also the member of many renowned medical societies and associations like the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology, Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), Society for Surgery of Alimentary Tract USA, International College of Surgeons USA, International Hepato Pancreatic Biliary surgery Association. He is also the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions in the country and abroad
